Damon Kyle Wayans (born September 4, 1960), addressed professionally as Damon Wayans, is a renowned writer, actor, comedian, and producer. He is a member of the Wayans family of artists. He worked as a comedian and actor during the 1980s, including a year on Saturday Night Live‘s sketch comedy show.

However, as a writer and performer on FOX’s sketch comedy show In Living Color from 1990 to 1992 catapulted him to the limelight. His animated series, Waynehead, which aired on the Kids’ WB block from 1996 to 1997, and his TV series, Damon, where he made his breakthrough in 1998.

In 1982,Damon Wayansstarted performing stand-up comedy. His first acting role was in a cameo as an effeminate hotel employee in Eddie Murphy‘s 1984 picture Beverly Hills Cop.
